Our Story
Every woman wants to feel valued, loved, respected, and empowered. This is a reasonable observation no matter what the social status of a woman is.
Situations in life cause priorities to shift. This does not always translate to something better. The woman becomes preoccupied with everything else and everyone around her, except herself. Women who have the support of their families, husbands, and the society, are fortunate. There are those who are not so lucky.
We often hear or read about domestic violence. Rape, sexual assault, psychological, emotional, and socioeconomic abuses are events affecting women. They cause women to lose their self-esteem or sometimes drive them to take their own lives. Some women choose to stay in the situation they are in because they do not know how to break free and start all over. Women who are able to do so struggle.
Grit Beauty Bucket is here not to bring back grit but to encourage women to not lose their grit in the first place.
We have a wide selection of items that are available at reasonable prices. They will make every woman feel good, pampered, and confident.
A woman is a force to reckon with and no one can put her down.
Grit Beauty Bucket keeps it that way.
Our Mission
Making a woman look beautiful is the first step. It is also our mission to make her feel beautiful inside so that she radiates confidence and grit. We aim to inspire women all over the world that she can rise above any challenge in life.
The idea for the first consciously feminist legal organization advocating feminist legal advocacy as a strategy for the promotion and defense of women's human rights was started in 1989 by three feminist students, and was legally established a year later under its former name, "Women's Legal Bureau".
WLB has contributed in shaping Philippine jurisprudence and legal landscape by handling cases with the use of the Battered Woman Syndrome (BWS) as basis for self-defense; and drafting of some of the bills that now form part of the body of Philippine laws that strengthen protections for women against violence and discrimination.
As the organization expanded its mandate to include other areas and platforms in seeking fulfillment of women’s rights, WLB renamed itself as “Women’s Legal and Human Rights Bureau” in 2009.
